This is a patent pending technology, inspired by iAVs sandponics. By spreading algae seeded nutrient water on shalow beds with grid holes, we have found a way to greatly increase the surface area of algae growing medium. This makes the algae growing mechanism easy and faster than ever.
One thing we forgot was that in the drawing we still had the doorway, which is not required for the full scale of AlgaeTree. Just two layers of zipper doors should be good enough. We do need doors and doorway for lab scale of AlgaeTree for testing and monitoring purposes.
